Enchanted

Tippett Studio creates a delightful cast of musical animal friends (and one very nasty dragon) for Disney Princess Giselle (Amy Adams) ‘s trip to real-world New York City.

Charlotte’s Web

For Charlotte’s Web, Tippett Studio designed and animated scruffy rat Templeton as well as Elwyn & Brooks, two hungry crows on a mission to catch themselves a ratty snack.

Son of the Mask

For Son of the Mask, Tippett Studio created Otis, a Jack Russell terrier who dons a magical green mask that transforms the loveable pet into a crazed, cartoonish version of himself.

Hellboy

For fan favorite, Hellboy, Tippett Studio designed, modeled and animated hellhound Sammael, young Hellboy, the amphibious humanoid Abe Sapien, and the Behemoth – a many-tentacled, Cthulu-like big bad for the film’s climactic battle scene.

Matrix Revolutions

In addition to the tentacled Sentinels, Tippett Studio undertook a massive scale environment build to construct a blasted, post-apocalyptic world for Matrix Revolutions.

Blade 2

For Blade 2, Tippett Studio created the Reapers – brutal über-vampires with the ability to dismantle and extend their jaws, transforming their faces into gruesome weapons.

Evolution

At Tippett Studio, we love getting our hands dirty so we enjoyed bringing both practical and CG skills to bear on our work for the comedic science-fiction flick Evolution.

Starship Troopers

Starship Troopers represented a watershed moment for Tippett Studio, launching us into a new era as a full-CG facility. Our team – which grew during this time from a small group of twenty to a horde itself of two hundred visual artists – created sequences that earned Phil Tippett an Oscar nomination and today still lead culture commentators such as Den of Geek! to proclaim, “Years on, Jurassic Park and Starship Troopers’ effects still impress.”

Jurassic Park

Steven Spielberg’s iconic film Jurassic Park marked the paradigm shift from traditional stop motion animation to computer graphics-based visual effects. Tippett Studio’s research and development team undertook the mission to bridge the gap between traditional animation techniques and the new digital medium.

Robocop

Robocop is one of the best known and most beloved films in the Tippett Studio filmography. The first of numerous collaborations between Phil Tippett and director Paul Verhoeven, Robocop showcased the brutal, hulking robot unit ED-209, designed by Craig Hayes and built and animated by Phil and the Tippett crew.
