Cammy and Mike

Tippett Studio Brings Heart to Robots in Cammy and Mike

For Cammy and Mike, the debut short film for Rob McElhenney’s new venture, Adim, Tippett Studio embraced the challenge of bringing lovable robots to life. Directed by longtime collaborator Will Groebe, this project took our team on a fun, creative journey, designing and animating the adorable robot duo, Cammy and Mike. These fully CG characters were seamlessly integrated into live-action footage shot at the Zoo, creating a world where they interact naturally with their real-world environment.

Bringing sweet, empathetic performances to robots is no easy task, but our animators balanced heart and humor to make these metallic friends feel genuinely alive and relatable. The result is a launch that combines cutting-edge VFX with comedic charm, setting the tone for a series that’s both touching and entertaining. Tippett Studio is thrilled to have had the opportunity to help Cammy and Mike find their personalities and make audiences laugh, setting the stage for Adim’s exciting new creative vision.
