Marketing Assistant

The Marketing Assistant will work closely with the vice president of creative marketing and the studio’s business development team to assist in the development and implementation of the Studio’s marketing, social media, and public relations plans.

Tasks will include assisting in the creation of marketing materials for strategic campaigns that will improve Tippett Studio’s branding as a top-notch character animation and visual effects studio for motion pictures, TV, commercials and themed entertainment. This position reports to the vice president of creative marketing.


The below list describes only the essential functions of this job. Other duties may be assigned, as necessary.

  • Work with the vice president of creative marketing and senior staff to implement and maintain positive up to date social media presence for Tippett Studio and for Phil Tippett through outlets such as LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter, and generate periodic tracking reports for social media activity.
  • Assist and, at times, independently conduct market research activities to keep abreast of competition, new potential clients and general industry trends
  • Keep track of show reels, presentations, and website copy to communicate the studio’s projects and strengths.
  • Assist with visits and/or the arrangement of meetings with client representatives
  • Utilize marketing and public relations calendar to assist in the coordination of studio marketing activity
  • Assist in coordinating various marketing methods, including mailing lists, internet tools and resources, social media, and potential new methods of marketing
  • Assist with managing a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Assist with outreach efforts to solicit projects or informational meetings.
  • Gather and maintain show-related assets including images (moving and still), press and sales kits, and demo reels. Organize and maintain company’s historical archive.

  • Strong ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with interactive marketing initiatives via social media sites (ie: Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Photoshop, and Google Suite tools.
  • Ability and willingness to learn other software programs as needed.
  • Basic understanding of processes used in the creation of media and VFX a plus.
  • Ability to handle a variety of personalities and maintain a sense of humor.
